One of my favorite parts of Christmas is reading Christmas stories together as a family. This year, we are starting the tradition of opening up a wrapped Christmas book each day leading up to Christmas. I’m so excited! The boys look forward to finding out what book is inside the Christmas book bag (and even though I know what’s inside, I look forward to opening up the books, too).
When I was teaching in the classroom, I loved using books. I would incorporate books into music as often as I could. The students loved listening to books. During the Christmas season, we were able to enjoy many books in the music room. As we all know, the holidays can be very stressful, and reading books together had a calming effect on everyone. There are so many fun Christmas books to choose! If you are looking for a silly book, or even a simple retelling of the Christmas story, there’s a perfect book to go along with your lesson!
This weekend, amazon is having a special on books! You can use code GIFTBOOK to get $5 off any book order of $15 or more, but it’s only good for purchases made by Monday.
